Organic Program Elements
No Genetic Modified Organisms
This means chicken, turkey and beef raised and primary and secondarily processed through techniques in which the genetic material has been altered in a way that does not occur naturally by mating and/or natural recombination.
Fed 100% Organic Feed
DeBoer’s has written assurances for all our Organic programs that all feed is organic as defined in and for the purposes of the Safe Food for Canadian Regulations. Everything is verified by documentation, not just verbally stated.
Original Created Habitat
DeBoer’s Organic chicken has access to the outdoors. These areas have been rotated to have the vegetation grow back. We offer protection from other fowl that may carry diseases or insects that will endanger our flocks. shade, shelter, rotational pasture, exercise areas, fresh air and daylight, suitable for the species and stage of production taking into consideration the climate and the environment.
No Antibiotics or Chemicals of Any Kind
DeBoer’s Organic program has neither day-old chicks nor the fertilized eggs they hatched from shall be given medication or antibiotics.
